Learning objectives

The learning objectives of Module 2 are:

• to provide a brief overview about the countries with which Queensland has an active intercountry adoption program
• to develop an understanding and awareness of the needs of overseas children requiring permanent placements in Australia
• to provide an opportunity for prospective adoptive parents to consider their attitudes towards adopting a child from overseas
• to develop an understanding of the issues and challenges faced by the adopted child.
