Balancing privacy and access: adoption consultation
Access to information is a complex and sensitive issue and there are many considerations, especially around a person’s right to privacy. For this reason feedback was sought about the best way to balance the rights of people who want to access information, while maintaining the right to privacy of people who do not want to be identified.
Stakeholders and members of the public were invited to provide feedback in response to the Balancing privacy and access: adoption consultation paper between 14 July 2008 and 19 September 2008.
The Adoption consultation feedback report provides detailed information about the feedback received from stakeholders and members of the public in response to the consultation paper.
