Who we work with
We work in partnership with other Queensland Government departments, non-government organisations, and the broader community to deliver high-quality child protection services.
We are focussed on maintaining and strengthening the effectiveness of our partnerships, through joint planning and local networking to allow us to provide child protection services to vulnerable children and their families.
There are almost 100 non-government organisations working in partnership with the department to deliver child protection services to children, young people and their families throughout Queensland.
Our network and partners consist of:
- Child Safety Directors Network: a partnership of Queensland Government departments who provide child protection services.
- Evolve Interagency Services: provides therapeutic and behaviour support services for children on child protection orders and out-of home care.
- Recognised Entities: organisations or individuals who are approved and funded by our department to provide cultural and family advice in child protection matters for Indigenous communities.
- Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect (SCAN) system: a partnership between our department and other government and non-government agencies, to share and assess information about child protection, and respond to cases of abuse and neglect.
