Therapeutic residential services (South East Queensland) 2007/08

Note: The proposed north of Brisbane service has been postponed. Further advice will be available about this funding in due course.

Purpose

The purpose of this funding is to enable a non-government organisation to deliver a therapeutic residential service, located west of Brisbane, providing six places within a residential setting for young people referred by the Department of Child Safety.

Target group

The target clients for the service are young people aged between 12 and 17 years with complex and extreme needs in the custody or guardianship of the Chief Executive and requiring a therapeutic residential service before other forms of out-of-home placement support are appropriate or sustainable.
