Telephone numbers
Queensland callers
Callers from within Queensland can use the following local call and free call numbers:
- 13 or 1300 numbers (such as 1300 550 877) are charged at normal local call rates.
- 1800 numbers are free from any fixed line telephone.
Australian callers (outside of Queensland)
- Dial the area code 07 + telephone number. For example, 07 3224 8045.
Note: If using a mobile phone, the cost of your call is determined by your mobile service provider.
International callers
- Dial the international access code + Australia country code 61 + area code 7 (for Queensland) + telephone number.
Note: Omit the first zero (0) in the area code of telephone and mobile phone numbers.
Telephone typewriter (TTY)
TTY is an assistive technology allowing for hearing and speech impaired persons to communicate by typing messages. All parties involved must be TTY equipped.
