Child Protection (International Measures) Act 2003
The Child Protection (International Measures) Act 2003 implements the Hague Convention about child protection in Queensland. This act is available for download in full.

- Part 1 covers preliminary matters including the purposes of the Act, the application of the act, definitions of key terms and circumstances in which a Queensland court may exercise jurisdiction under this Act.
- Part 2 covers jurisdiction for the person of a child.
- Part 3 covers jurisdiction for decisions about a guardian of a child's property.
- Part 4 covers applicable law.
- Part 5 covers recognition of foreign measures and their enforcement in Queensland, including actions to be taken in recognition of foreign measures to protect a child.
- Part 6 covers co-operation and other matters, including the obligation of the department to inform a competent authority in another country about serious danger to a child.
- Part 7 covers miscellaneous provisions including delegation of powers under the Act, power to make regulations and other legislation impacted by this Act.
- Schedule 1 reproduces the Hague Convention about child protection.
- Schedule 4 provides a dictionary to set out the meaning of terms used in this Act.
