Our community partners

There are almost 100 non-government organisations working in partnership with the department to deliver more than 200 services or programs to children, young people and families throughout Queensland.

The aim of working in partnership with non-government organisations across Queensland is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people who are in need of protection and require an out of home placement and/or support services to meet their protective and care needs.

An intended outcome of our partnership with non-government organisations is to maintain the child's relationship with their family and community, and achieve a sense of belonging either through safe reunification or through the provision of stable, quality care.
