Structure of Central Zone's Planning & Partnership Networks
Planning and partnerships networks are established throughout the state on local and zonal levels to:
- Identify local child protection priorities
- Develop service delivery models
- Build capacities of the system to respond to the needs of children and families involved in the system
Links are also made through the Planning and Partnerships Officers to the early intervention service system.
In Central Zone, there are a number of groups, forums and other communication mechanisms that exist under the ‘Planning & Partnership Network’ banner. This ‘network arrangement’ was designed as a result of extensive engagement with child protection stakeholders throughout Central Zone and with the input of peak bodies and officers from other government agencies throughout 2005.
The network arrangements for Central Zone comprises the following:
- Local community services ongoing
- Local planning groups formed out of local service workshops
- Zonal Network
- Regular learning exchange forums (to be commenced)
- Biennial zonal forums
- Other supporting mechanisms: services, Department of Child Safety website, zonal newsletters, focus groups
- Information for Central Zone may be accessed in the Planning & Partnership Networks, Profile –Central Zone.
