Blueprint for implementing the CMC report recommendations
The Blueprint, prepared by external consultant Peter Forster, presents a plan of action for implementing the 110 recommendations outlined in the Crime and Misconduct Commission's (CMC) Inquiry Report Protecting children: an inquiry into abuse of children in foster care, for building a strong child protection system.
The Blueprint addresses the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, non-government agencies and peak bodies, staff recruitment and professional development.
The Blueprint reinforces that the safety and security of vulnerable children and young people is our first priority. Concerns voiced by children in our care or at risk of harm need to be heard and resources are to be directed to help those who provide care and support.
