2006 Child Safety Research Conference

The inaugural Child Safety Research Conference 2006, organised by the Child Safety Research Advisory Group was held in Brisbane on 14-15 November 2006.

The theme, 'Child Protection - integrating research policy practice', placed emphasis on participants engaging with other researchers and practitioners from throughout Queensland and Australia. The conference provided child protection practitioners in both government and non-government sectors with a valuable opportunity to connect with the latest research relevant to their work.

Leading keynote speakers provided inspiration and motivation for participants to share experiences and knowledge in a choice of open forum afternoon workshop sessions. The conference also presented examples of good practice highlighting current initiatives at the forefront of child protection.

The Report on the Child Safety Research Conference (PDF 200 KB) and the presentation slides from selected sessions are now available.
