Child safety research forums
About the forums
Research forums are for those who are interested in child protection related research and the application of research into practice. They present recent research findings to our staff and partners from government departments and non-government agencies and are conducted at least three times a year.
Recent research forum topics have included:
- child development and the impact of abuse
- parental substance misuse and child protection
- child protection and domestic and family violence
- research into policy and practice
- perspectives on out-of-home care.
Forums are recorded onto DVD with copies sent to all child safety service centres.
